How to spend the festive season

The festive season has quickly come around again and we’re now just days away from Christmas. With that on everyone’s mind, we have a few suggestions of how you can spend your time over the holidays.

Whether you’re spending the Christmas period in the city or cosying up in the countryside with your family around the Christmas tree. There’s a whole host of ways you can spend your time this Christmas.

Christmas Eve has many customs and traditions, but one that stands out amongst communities comes in the form of Christmas eve,  midnight mass. Known for being the most important church service of the Christmas season as many gather in the pews to sing their favourite Christmas songs and hymns.

Every family has their own Christmas traditions for Christmas day, whether it's getting up before the sun rises to rip open presents, or indulging in Christmas brunch with champagne. These are all the traditions that make Christmas so unique. We recommend cosying up after a long day of celebrating with a home-made hot chocolate and binge watching all your favourite Christmas films.

It wouldn’t be Christmas without the annual boxing day sales. Whether you’re shopping online or heading to the stores, you can use Chatloop ahead of the discount day to make sure you grab those all-important pieces.

In the days between Christmas and New Year, everyone seems to lose track of time. We recommend spending those lazy days in between feeling refreshed for the new year to come. Dig out your walking boots and oversized coats and head out into the fresh crisp air.
