How to delete your Chatloop account
This section explains the steps to take if you’d like to:
• Delete your account.
• Reactivate your account.
• Understand what data we keep when you delete your account.
• Understand what data we permanently destroy when you delete your account.
Steps to delete your account:
Deleting your account through the app:
1. Open the Chatloop App.
2. Navigate to your profile.
3. Top the 3 dots in the top right of your account and select ‘App Settings’.
4. In the ‘App Settings’ area select ‘Your Account’.
5. Select ‘Delete Account’, and follow the instructions to delete your account.
Deleting your account outside of the app:
1. To delete your account outside of the app, please email:2. Within this email please state that you would like to delete your account and provide;
a. The email address you used to create your Chatloop account.
b. Your Chatloop username.
c. Your First and Last name.

We may contact you if we need to verify your information.
What Data Does Chatloop Keep or Destroy?
When you request to delete your account, all your content and profile information is immediately made unavailable.

We will fully process the account deletion after 30 days, after which your account data, Loops, comments, likes, etc. will be permanently destroyed.

Within this 30 day period you may request to reactivate your account in full.

Chatloop retains specific usage analytics data (how you have used the app, browsing history, Loop impression data) even after the account deletion account process have occurred.

This data is not shared elsewhere, however some anonymous usage data may continue to be shown in analytical reports within the portal area.

Currently, image and video assets are retained but won’t be discoverable unless a link to the content exists. This may change in the future.
